The Hitman’s Bodyguard – TPToA Podcast 41

Dion and Quinny dip their toes into Amsterdam’s tepid canal water to determine if Roadshow’s The Hitman’s Bodyguard will sink or swim in this action release, dropping late in the American summer film season. Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson team up in another antagonistic “buddy cop” road movie where one is a world-class assassin named Darius Kincaid and the other a personal protection specialist called Michael Bryce. Or maybe it’s the other way around. Honestly, with names that ridiculous, who knows?!

Is this a rollicking adventure ride with two of the most foul-mouthed stars ever paired on screen? Or is it a stale, lifeless drudge that barely limps over the finish line? Listen to the podcast and let us know what you think: comment on Facebook or rate it on the website!

An energetic action film with two extremely charismatic leading actors.
some very funny sequences and great action.
feels very generic and criminally bland at times.
Doesn't live up to the potential of its cast.
Some repetitive jokes just get tiresome as hell.
