Thank god for Ryan Reynolds and his charisma keeping this thing afloat.
Its a perfectly serviceable action flick which you will most likely have forgotten all about by the end of the podcast.

its fluffy and fun and quick, easy watching at its easiest
Ryan Reynolds does his shtick and we all smile and nod sagely.
The action beats are generally well choreographed.
it's made of nothing, its not got much to say and it does so, mildly.
Women characters? Relegated to dying, pining or vilifying.
Its greatest sin is being forgettable in the extreme.
Hey do you remember the Marvel movie where Deadpool hung out with The Hulk, Pre-Netflix Elektra, Gomorra, and the kid from Iron Man 3? No, us either, but thats essentially what we have here. This spiritual sequel to “13 going on 30” give us all the time-travel, older-self, body swap action of that film with a bunch more non-IP-infringing action sequences thrown in. It’s the Netflix family action film called The Adam Project, and it most certainly is… a film.
Jill, Quinny, Dion and Peta all definitely watched said film and have very few strong opinions about it.
After accidentally crash-landing in 2022, time-traveling fighter pilot Adam Reed teams up with his 12-year-old self on a mission to save the future.
