TPToA Podcast 266 – Moon Knight

Moon Knight is the story of Steven Grant, Avatar of Khonshu.
Moon Knight is the story of Marc Spector, Avatar of Khonshu.

Both of these statements may be true. Both may be a lie… Or neither of them may be. The essential joy and heartbreak of this series is finding out which aspects are true, and which ones are lies and then which ones even matter.

Dion and Quinny may be two alts of a single brain living in different bodies, but Peta and Jill remain definitively distinct and separate. Which is the best for everyone really.

As always, a massive thanks goes to our Marvel-ous magical community of creative folk who join in with the conversation on the Twitch stream, live and loud each Tuesday night at 7:30pm AEST. A marvelously confusing mess
There's odd pacing, confusing plots, occasional moments of brilliance and some very cool effects, some of which hold the whole thing together. But it's Oscar Isaac's acting that will keep you watching.

Steven's grant
Globe trotting story with wonderful representation of Egyptian culture
Oscar Isaac's acting is a masterclass throughout
It has a good balance of action and trippy mind-bending stuff,
Marc's specter
The pacing feels a bit off for a 6 episode show, both fast and slow
Khonshu goes from being a wonderful, creepy, horror image to a dick in NO time...
Sometimes the Moon Knight aspect of the characters feels unnecessary
