TPToA Podcast 330 – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles – Mutant Mayhem

Shamelessly nostalgic but brand new all at once.
Animated in a style unlike anything we have ever seen from the turtles, this stylish and creative take on the amphibian quartet is fun, fresh and feels new but at the same time classic. impressive.

AWESOME

Since their emergence in the early eighties we have seen innumerable iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; on our TV screens, in our cinemas, in our video games and on our shelves in the form of SO MANY TOYS… Well, now only a year after their last TV outing (Rise of the TMNT) we return to the cinema screen with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, a fresh animated take on the terrapin teens brought to us from the man-child duo of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Is it simply more of the same that we’ve seen time and time before? Or have we hit on something new and different? Listen in and find out!

Our usual awesome foursome are down to two this week, with Quinnatello and Jillangelo holding down the sewer, while the other two turtles go swimming around in the ooze!

After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Their new friend, April O’Neil, helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

A huge shout out to our not-so-teenage audience whose support and green glowing ooze-milk pour directly onto the live-chat during the Twitch stream, each Tuesday night at 7:30pm AEST. An especially Kaiju sized thanks goes to any of you kind enough to support us by dropping your TCRI tokoens into our jar via Ko-Fi! and now also subscribing on Twitch!

If you too like what we do, drop us a sub!  Every bit of your support helps us to (hopefully) keep entertaining you!

Don’t fret if you can’t be there for the recording though as you can catch them on Youtube usually later that very night. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss them!
