TPToA Podcast 358 – Fallout (TV)

An extraordinarily successful game adaptation that has managed to cross over into broader pop-culture acceptance
It may be a bit more "just another apocalypse" for people who have had their fill of the genre, but for fans of the game series this is just dripping with lore, easter eggs and to top it off, some really tight storytelling and characters too. A rare gem.

AWESOME

Fallout (tv)

Attention! Vault-Tec employees and residents, it’s time for your mandated interactive Vault-Tec audio and video entertainment! Crack a Nuka Cola, turn up the volume on your Pip-Boy and settle in for this broadcast from deep in the wasteland direct to your Vault. We are, of course, reviewing Fallout the latest entry into the ever expanding Fallout game-world story. We can promise you this; it’s going to be S.P.E.C.I.A.L!  Okie dokie, see you then!

In this podcast Dion is hunting Radroaches and Deathclaws using Quinny as bait, while Jill and Peta are learning to question their utopian society in their (suspiciously) pleasantly scented Vault.

Over 200 years after a nuclear apocalypse devastates America, a violent raid by bandits on an underground fallout shelter forces one of its residents to set out into a barren wasteland filled with radiation, mutated monsters, and a lawless society of those who remained on the surface.

A huge thank you post-apocalyptic underground dwellers… you hardened survivors really are the G.O.A.T. joining in on the live-chat during the Twitch stream this week (and every week!) each Tuesday night. If you haven’t done so before, descend into the depths with us 7:30pm next Tuesday to join in on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. discussions. Eagle eyed readers may note we used these exact jokes for SILO, but you know what in the apocalypse, recycling is important!

Special love and thanks goes to those who have financially bolstered this podcast via dropping some bottle caps into our Ko-Fi jar and now also by subscribing on Twitch! Your generosity is always appreciated!

If you feel so inclined drop us a sub! The more subs we get the more Emotes You get! Every bit of your support helps us to keep the Vault-tec mandated entertainment broadcasts running until the half life is down to a bearable amount.

Don’t fret if you can’t be there for the recording though as you can catch them on Youtube usually later that very night. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss them!
