TPToA Podcast 267 – Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Is this film a sequel to the first Doctor Strange? A follow up to Spider-Man: No Way Home? Or is it all now just the continuing, all encompassing behemoth that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Yeah, it’s probably that last one. It’s the story of many powerful sorcerers, an even more powerful witch, inter-dimensional runaway children and grief that can make you a monster. Whatever it is, it’s called Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness!

This is a fiery one folks with some VERY different opinions around the mics; Dion and Peta sitting on one side of the debate, with Quinny and Jill on the other. Listen-in to find which arguments you find the most compelling. It’s better than the political debates we’re having these days, anyway!

As always, a massive multiversal thanks goes to our Marvel-ous magical community of variants and copies from numerous different universes who join in with the conversation on the Twitch stream, live and loud each Tuesday night at 7:30pm AEST. And an especially huge thanks to any of you kind enough to support us by chucking a tip in our jar via Ko-Fi, or subscribing on twitch… every bit helps us get better at giving you more!

If you feel so inclined in this universe or any other… drop us a sub, The more subs we get the more Emotes You get! Every bit of your support helps us to keep our internal processors running that bit longer.

Don’t fret if you can’t be there for the recording though as you can catch them on Youtube usually later that very night. Make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss them!

What changes would you like to see us make moving forward?

A very different take on the marvel universe, with Raimi written all over it
A divisive addition to the Marvel canon, which encompasses plot elements from Wandavision, expands the universe(s) and provides a platform for Raimi to ply his trade. If you enjoy these things or not, is entirely up to your personal taste.

Mr Strange I presume
It's a very Sam Raimi film, like it or not.
It's got some spectacular visuals supporting some crazy ideas
It's full of delicious fan service and expands the universe wildly
Wanda's visions
It's a very Sam Raimi film, love it or loathe it.
Wanda gets done dirty in this one, really badly
It's pretty cheesy and relies on some shmaltz for it's resolution
