It’s nearly 2021 compadres, and that means it’s time to celebrate having survived 2020 with the much-requested return of something special: DC (or “Drunk Cinema”) RIDES AGAIN! Join Dion, Quinny, and Jill as they come together with Bec as her emotional support crew, for her first-time viewing of the 2017 franchise-hobbling mistake, Justice League!
There wasn’t enough alcohol in the world to raise our opinions of this film for our first review, so this time around we explored whether it’s possible to drink enough* to erase from our minds the stupid moustache-less CGI Henry Cavill horror.
This watch-along is specifically for the 120-minute theatrical release version of the film by Joss Whedon.
*TPToA promotes the responsible consumption of alcohol when it indeed proves beneficial to enjoying a film. No children or animals were harmed in this podcast recording; the same cannot be said for Bec.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your support in 2020. It’s been a challenging year for us all, and to those who have stuck with us or joined in the community for the first time, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your wit, kindness and generosity have made our Tuesday night livestreams a great joy and a highlight of this fairly bleak year. We thank you for your financial support though our ko-fi and your moral support via your kind words and reviews on iTunes and Spotify. We look forward to having you join us again in 2021!
FYI: We will not be doing our Tuesday night Twitchstreams during the holiday period, but the podcasts will still come out on Thursdays, so make sure you’ve subscribed to The Periodic Table of Awesome via your favourite podcast app so you don’t miss out.
